Shebeeners - the blogs on our site are steadily increasing in number, and have proven to be a popular addition.

I'm pleased to announce that a significant update to the vBulletin Blog is currently under development by the developers of the software, which will apparently introduce new features and implement several popular suggestions for improvements to existing functionality.

Here is a short list of some of the new features in the Blog update that you can look forward to over the next few weeks:

Tags
Blog tags that feature a cloud at the top level (all blogs) and at the level of each blog, similar to the tag cloud on the home page.

Featured Entries
Ability to select multiple entries from an increased set of criteria.

Blog Roll
Blog owners will be able to create custom blocks to appear in the blog sidebar. They will even be able to rearrange the order of their custom blocks and the pre-existing blocks.

Categories
Shebeen can now create categories that are accessible to all users or can be limited to specific usergroups.
