Govt to introduce wholesale margin on fuel next month

Pretoria - The Department of Minerals and Energy will not be affecting the proposed 5.4 cents per litre wholesale margin on fuel this month.

Briefing reporters on Monday, Minister of Minerals and Energy Buyelwa Sonjica said the wholesale margin in the price structure of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin will not be implemented this month.

This means on Wednesday unleaded 93 petrol will go up by 73 cents per litre; 95 unleaded...

Pretoria – Organised crime wreaks havoc on society and therefore it is a crime government is paying particular attention to, says Minister of Safety and Security, Charles Nqakula.

Pretoria – Safety and Security Minister Charles Nqakula says although the crime trends report published Monday indicated a continuation of the steady decline in crime levels in South Africa as seen in the past five years, Government was still concerned that the levels of crime continue to be unacceptably high.

Tokyo – United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has criticised the outcome of Friday’s run-off presidential election in Zimbabwe, calling it illegitimate.
