COMESA, SADC, EAC to discuss harmonisation of trade

Lusaka - The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), the Southern African Development Community (SADC) and the East African Community (EAC) will convene a tripartite meeting in October to discuss the harmonisation of trade in the region.

Prosecutor seeks charges against Sudanese President for Darfur crimes

The Hague – The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Monday presented evidence against Sudan’s President for alleged war crimes in the strife-torn region, including genocide.

This comes three years after the United Nations Security Council requested him to investigate atrocities committed in Darfur.

Post Office marks Madiba’s birthday with new stamp

Johannesburg - Birthday wishes for Madiba can now be sent throughout the world with the South African Post Office unveiling a limited number of stamps to mark the former President’s 90th birthday on Friday.
