Namibia are raring to go for their three-day SAA Challenge match against Western Province which starts at the Wanderers field on Thursday.

The Namibian selectors have made one change to the team that lost by eight runs to Ireland, brining in top order batsman Gerhard Rudolph for all rounder Bjorn Kotze, who is unavailable due to work commitments.

Wrestlers excel at Commonwealth Youth Games

Wrestlers Sem Shilimela and Lukas Thomas excelled for Namibia when they both won medals at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, India on Wednesday.

Shilimela won the silver medal in the 54kg category after reaching the final where he lost 3-0 on points to Jitendra Hariprasad of India.
Earlier, Shilimela beat Brandon Third of New Zealand 3-1 in the quarterfinals and Gareth Jones of Wales 3-1 in the semifinals.

Ananias Ananias rode a great race to win the 100km Namibian Cycle Classic on Sunday morning. Ananias, riding for the Prowealth team, beat team mate Heiko Redecker, Stefan Marggraff and Tjipe Murangi in a sprint to the line to win the 100km event in 2 hours 35 minutes and 34 seconds.
