Manuel to head panel assessing IMF governance framework

Pretoria – Finance Minister Trevor Manuel has been appointed as the chairman of the committee of eminent persons which will assess the decision making framework of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Johannesburg - A new R2.3-billion central terminal building at the OR Tambo International airport outside Johannesburg opened this week.

SA’s second quarter GDP rebounds to 4.9 percent

Pretoria – South Africa’s second quarter Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rebounded somewhat to 4.9 percent for the second quarter of 2008 after recording 2.1 percent in the first quarter.

Cape Town – The City of Cape Town is pulling out all stops in celebration of World Tourism Month, concluding with World Tourism Day on 27 September.
