Cape Town – The country’s safety and security was assured on Friday with the display and introduction of the newly acquired Navy fleet to the Commander-in-Chief of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF), President Thabo Mbeki during a Presidential Fleet Review.

The last Presidential Fleet Review was conducted in 1997 during President Nelson Mandela’s term, at that time, it coincided with the Navy’s 75th birthday....

Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe governor Gideon Gono claimed this week that some 2,000 syndicates were smuggling diamonds and gold out of the country.

He called upon the government and stakeholders to help curb smuggling activities so that Zimbabwe could benefit from its own natural resources.
