Interest is reportedly growing among the international film community to screen the film, " Namibia: The Struggle for Liberation".
The film, based on the autobiography of Founding President Sam
Nujoma, "Where others Wavered", was screened in June at the California Film Festival in the United States of America.
The film has also attracted interest in countries such as Belgium, Canada and Malaysia.
On the sixth of next month, the film will be shown at the Belgium film festival, while on the 18th it will be screened in Auckland, California.
It will also be presented as a special feature film at the Vancouver Pan-African Film Festival on the 26th and 27th of October, as well as at the Kuala Lumpur Film Festival in Malaysia from the 28th of November to the fourth of December.
The Executive Producer of "Namibia: the Struggle for Liberation", Uazuva Kaumbi, told NBC News that the significant interest shown by these film festivals would generate the needed publicity for the film with regard to the international market for distribution purposes.
He stated that the date for the premier in Namibia would be communicated through the media within the next two months. Kaumbi assured the public that the premier would take place before the end of the year.
