The Namibian Police at Keetmanshoop continue to make headway in its investigation of a spate of robberies in the Karas region, over recent months.

Police officers arrested a further two suspects on Thursday, following the arrest of another two men, earlier last week.

They were suspected to be involved in a robbery which took place at Aroab last Tuesday.

The robberies involve a particular method of using a cutting torch to enter and rob business premises and their safes from cash and goods.

Other robberies which the police suspect to be perpetrated by the same individuals were reported at places such as Berseba where close to 50-thousand dollars was stolen earlier this year, the Keetmanshoop Pep Stores clothing store where 17-thousand dollars was stolen and Aus where the robbers were reportedly caught in the act, but reportedly, managed to flee the scene.

Police officers also impounded a white BMW sedan, which was allegedly used by the suspects in the robberies.
