The Namibian Police are requesting members of the public in the vicinity of Grootfontein who are missing a relative to contact Police Regional Commander Deputy Commissioner Annemarie Goagoses on the following numbers 067-223 5001 or 081-335 2619.

The Namibian Police at Grootfontein have opened a murder case following the discovery of body parts of an unidentified person, believed to be of a woman, that were discovered at the town on Monday morning.

Police spokesperson, Chief Inspector, Angula Amulungu in a media statement issued yesterday said the body parts comprising a head and two arms were discovered at about twenty- minutes- past- nine at Dr Ngarikutuke Tjiriange Road near the Grootfontein State Hospital.

The body parts were discovered by municipal workers who were busy cleaning the streets when they came across a black refuse plastic bag.

It is reported that the municipal workers after they opened the plastic bag discovered two forearms and a head. It is said there were also blood stained seat covers of a car, a blood stained female sleeping dress and a black bra.
