| Description: | The Namibian College of Open Learning (NAMCOL) is a parastatal, educational institution created by an Act of Parliament (Act 1 of 1997) which provides learning opportunities for adults and out-of-school youths. The College was first established as a directorate within the Ministry of Basic Education and Culture (MBEC) in November 1994, though this was but the first step toward the creation of an autonomous body under the direction of a Board of Governors. |
