Red face Too little, too late

Sponsor's Message
SOme promising noises from the South Africans, but again too little, too late and little bite:

Quote:
The treasurer general of South Africa's ANC party, Matthews Phosa, has said that the policy of 'quiet diplomacy' adopted by President Thabo Mbeki towards Zimbabwe has failed and that 'Mugabe was using us.'

Now there’s word that the ruling ANC Party disagrees with President Mbeki and believes quiet diplomacy has failed.

This is a unique angle. It is a terrific and exceptional view, Comrade. However, as with the case of presidential immunity and the insulation from prosecucation in the aftermath of a stint on the national executive pedestal. It is equally such a predicament that one who is solely directed by personal conscience is expected to perform national moral and ethical expectation. The measuring stick being what a Namibian conscience ought to be. For now it seem Namibia is seeking to inculcate a common culture in all conceivable aspects. Virtually, we are yet to come up with the essential medical ethics, of all. Thus, despite the overal level of inlightenment, when comes to personal and common culture, we may be in a quandary.

Angry re: The Zimbabwe Situation

It's getting even more interesting, if not desperate. The battered, compromised judiciary is seeminly still kicking and has some life left in it:

Quote:
Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe suffered two big setbacks at the weekend in his bid to manipulate the recounting of votes from last month’s contested election — as local politicians expressed disbelief at President Thabo Mbeki’s “there is no crisis” statement after meeting Mugabe.

Now the following is complete and utter hearsay and NOT corroborated by any person so far. But, as I understand it, when Mbeki was on its way to the USA after having been elected president of SA, the plane could not land because M was indisposed due to the effects of so-called Zulu incense.

If I think back on what I was told then by what I believe could have been story taken somewhat out of proportion and apply it to the actions of the gentleman, many things become clear ................................

You are welcome to draw your own conclusions.

I repeat that this is nothing more than hearsay that I could not back up in a thousand years, but was said by someone with a bit of credibility.

My Brothers & Sisters,

There is only one President who will walk away from this with his head held high, the President of Zambia. The only leader in the region who refuses to align himself with the will of one man, but who is all to willing to align himself with the People of Zimbabwe!!

Our current leaders are really shameful!! My heart bleeds for the People of Zimbabwe...

Hold on brothers, hold on....Justice will prevail!!

Once Mugabe falls he will take down a host of our so called leaders...

That is like telling an inmate of one of Nazi Germany's notorious death camps in 1941: " Hold on, justice will prevail! The Allies are coming to free us."

The Allies came in late 1944!

I know, I know....

But it is clear, the freedom of the Zimbabwean people is imminent.

I also think that our regional leaders are recognizing that times are changing. Their respective electorates are becoming more and more educated and result orientated. Many of them are looking at their own countries and are beginning to see that only their prosperity and progress is evident in their countries, however, their people are still living in complete and utter poverty. No top member of the ruling parties are "poor" anymore, thus saying that "economic freedom" has only come to a select few. We, people in the SADC region will not tolerate this blatant theft anymore, and the people of Zimbabwe are leading the way into the new post-neo-colonialism era.....
