Agree. Appearantly Mozambique and Angola indicated no access to the arms ship. Open question is what is the Namibian stance?

Matter of fact. No problem using real name. I have always done so on all fora for years, beside here. Go ahead. Problem is, who'll talk sense to whom? Meaning who is at least to be considered sane? Or has a sanity remains in his skull, or better, what kind of sense at all is till expected from the two, and who still got what we call sense? who's the source of influence and judgement between the two. If Dr. Nujoma always has shown such amount of contempt for his public image, the national supreme law, its spiriit, the people and everything that they stand for. Didn't he sent Namibian troops or "SWAPO troops" as he knows them to fight that bogus thing in DRC. Hasn't he already vow the same for "Mugabe's Zimbabwe" as he referred to it. This is not some one who's as close sanity as you mayexpect. His judgement is as bad as that of Bob's. The guys are coocoo. Can't you see????

From what I have been given to understand an official statement is to be released. When? No clue!

Nearly a month later (14 May 2008): I think the ministry decided that "discretion is the better part of valor" and "let lying dogs sleep" or something like that

Go ahead Shebeen, the sooner the better! I for one would make sure my whole network helps putting their weight behind the petition, quite a number I tell you...

Now that the ship has evidently turned back to China, we should rather concentrate on the second consignment of arms coming via aircraft. Check whose airspace they will have to fly over and try to influence a "no-go" that way .........

Chances are that things are not as they appear. A Week ago Tsvangirai said on RSA TV (Carte Blance) that Mugabe accepted defeat since the results of the election is known and he lost the election. It appears that some of his senior henchmen did not want him to accept defeat since it would lead to them being procecuted for crimes committed. An option could be that uncle Morgan could offer amnesty to those guilty of past crimes, but would he do that? Besides its not only amnesty which will help, they also stand to lose the fat cat life they're used to. My suspision is that Mugabe is held hostage by others from within. Why did he not attend the SADC emergency summit two weeks ago? Technical problems? Plane could not start?

Angry And here we go again ....

Looks like our dear leaders are to meet yet again. How many more meetings will they need to call Mugabe and ZANU-PF to order and resolve the political impasse engineered by Mugabe to stay in power indefinitely? Phew...... any words?

Default Zimbabwe Election Runoff Set for June 27

Zimbabwe’s delayed runoff election between President Robert Mugabe, who has led the nation for nearly three decades, and opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has been set for June 27, the country’s election commission said Friday.

Quote:
New York Times
JOHANNESBURG — That means the second round of voting for the presidency would come nearly
three months after the first. The official results of the March 29 balloting
were not even announced until May 2, showing Mr. Tsvangirai with 47.9
percent and Mr. Mugabe with 42.3 percent.

He has since flown from one African capital to another, trying to summon
support — with decidedly mixed results — from regional leaders. Mr.
Tsvangirai intends to return to Zimbabwe this weekend, he said in an
interview Thursday.

The government has refused to give his party, the Movement for Democratic
Change, a permit to hold a rally, but he said he hoped to at least meet with
party members who have been elected to Parliament. The M.D.C., which had
split into two factions in late 2004, reunited in recent weeks. It now holds
a clear majority among lawmakers.

“There are those who would celebrate my return and there are those who would
hate my return,” Mr. Tsvangirai said. “And both of these two groups, they do
it with a lot of passion. So you can imagine that my return is going to
invoke two very serious, conflicting emotions.”

He has said repeatedly that he feels confident of winning the runoff, but he
has said just as often that he has little confidence the government will
conduct a fair election.

They can't and they won't.
