![]() Whot a question to ask? I like to combine work with pleasure and of course, travel are part of pleasure or not? The EU guaranteed by Community law, one of the fundamental freedoms, free movement. This is one of my rights which I most definately excercise to the fullest, for we all live but once. The good thing is, part of this freedom concerns with the right to live and work in any Member State, except for Malta and Cyprus. This means access to more then 18 EEA Member States to fill the labour markets. Not to bad at all. Of course citizens from new Member States might be in need of a working permit to be eligibale to work in one of the Member States. This principle of free movement is absolutely great, in fact its fantastic, don't you think, hey? Professional qualifications regulated to professions such as lawyers, engineers, teachers, dentists, doctors, pharmacists, accountants, vetinary surgeons and architechts, now for people with these professional qualificaions, in a nut shell, you'll easily find a job that is well payed. What about Public Employment Service, hmmmm ... with a professional qualification, it should not be hard to get you a job. Oh ... for non EU Nationals? Have not thought about it,since I got rid of the Hotnot complex years ago. Now that I' m no longer colored, I kind of forget these types of old stigmas. Who the hell cares if you not a proper black, professional qualifications open the doors every where in the world. This is not a joke, I am serious, not your stupid feminine smile or figure that invites for carpet interviews, but what you have achieved academically. This really counts when hunting for a job. Not to mention, reputable Institutions of Higher Learning, such as Leeds Metropolitan University for example or Cambridge cum Oxford. I do not stay in youth hostels, because of my phobia and prefer upmarket bed and breakfast with three star ratings at least, because I pay for service from my savings. Conveniently located close to the train station and old town, is out of the question for me as I prefer to make use of cab companies or chauffeur drives. Do not get me wrong or misunderstand me not. More permanent accommodation or flats or houses to rent is a great thing, and definately not from notice boards in supermarkets or student areas such as colleges or universities. Who mentioned flat sharing? Are you out of your mind? Me !!!! flat sharing, forget about it!!! Health and social security, aha, do not tell me you do not know what it is. Again for UK nationals visiting Ireland, you do not need a EHIC, still the EHIC do not cover you to work in Ireland, you relly need to become a "ordinary resident", that's the legal term. The EHIC are obtainable from Newcastle upon Tyne or call +44(0)20 7210 4850 (Mon - Fri 9 - 5; UK time. You need for the purpose of taxes the following: P45, P60 from your previous employer, and P85 ( from HM Revenue & Customs) Good luck now, okay?
