Default Namibian National Anthem

Fellow Shebeeners, friends and guests

Here is an invite for all of our friends - wherever they may be - to share our joy and gratitude on Friday, 21 March 2008.

Also join us when we sing our own, beautiful National Anthem:

NAMIBIA, LAND OF THE BRAVE,
FREEDOM FIGHT WE HAVE WON
GLORY TO THEIR BRAVERY
WHOSE BLOOD WATERS OUR FREEDOM
WE GIVE OUR LOVE AND LOYALTY
TOGETHER IN UNITY
CONTRASTING, BEAUTIFUL NAMIBIA,
NAMIBIA OUR COUNTRY
BELOVED LAND OF SAVANNAHS,
HOLD HIGH THE BANNER OF LIBERTY
NAMIBIA OUR COUNTRY –
NAMIBIA, MOTHERLAND WE LOVE THEE.

Well Axali Döeseb certainly did justice wit the anthem, him being responsible for composing it....but all in all, I thought we already accepted that the 21st of March is for our majority brothas and sistas, as we see in all sectors of our community, by the way is it not the reason why all project names are hailing from the majority corner; xupifa emuenjo, Etameko, man my !Namib seriously feels like an inflated former Owambo land, but all is good, let's not be negative, indeed as we are living in a land of contrast(though I think the contrast is nowadays limited to the geographic landscape only), but hey, thanx to the majority issue, um gonna have a nice rest ...peace

Whoever wrote it: it encapsulates what many feel in their hearts --north, south, east and west
